April was an awesome month for our new client, Minerva Real Estate Investments. They asked us to develop a campaign for their residential golf & country club community, Heron Bay in Locust Grove. We created an advertising and social media blitz driven by the deadline for the homeownership tax credit. Our campaign strategy - The Smart Move Right Now - gave potential homeowners 5 reasons they should move to Heron Bay. We created online and print ads, developed an email campaign for prospects and Realtors, wrote blog posts and revamped their Facebook and Twitter pages, all in an effort to drive traffic to the sales center.
The results of the campaign were amazing. The community’s web traffic grew by 30% and their social media following grew but, more importantly, traffic to the sales center increased and Heron Bay sold 19 homes in 6 weeks! We are looking forward to developing more targeted campaigns for Heron Bay in the future.
We’ve seen a lot of interest and activity among our other real estate clients and some new business opportunities as well. We’re looking forward to getting busy again in this category we know and love!

MARCH 23RD, 2010
Two weeks ago, EOS was presented with a plum opportunity - to develop the World Water Day exhibit for the corporate headquarters of The Coca-Cola Company. Of course, we jumped at the chance, because we recognized that it was the ideal place to bring attention to a very important cause-marketing effort RAIN - the Replenish Africa Initiative from The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation.
Through the use of some amazing photography from The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation, we were able to tell the story about the daily struggles Africans must endure to obtain one of our most basic necessities - water. Yet, we were also able to show many of the wonderful clean water initiatives RAIN and The Coca-Cola Foundation have been able to provide to children and families in water-starved locations. Read more about Coca-Cola’s commitment to global water stewardship.
We’ll be launching the website for The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation/RAIN the week of April 19. Be sure to sign up and become a RAIN Maker, which is a supporter of this very important cause. Because with many drops, we can create a wave of change - around the world!

While we were working here in Atlanta, our local film production crew was on location in Myrtle Beach shooting the local market interviews and footage from one of the Coke case studies we’re currently working on. The trip included a full tour of the city including the beach, Fun Plaza and the local mall. Despite the weather, we’ve got some great footage to capture a great story!

Lauren and I spent the day at the Coke offices involved in a wonderfully successful 2010 planning session for the Global Immediate Consumption department. 2010 is going to be a very fun year – we have lots of exciting projects on the horizon [videos, newsletters, e-blasts, etc.] and some new IC team members we’re excited to work with! Now, it’s off to celebrate the 2009 successes of the team before the holidays… cheers!

For the past several months we’ve been working on a couple of Immediate Consumption case studies and today we delivered final approval files to the team! We’re so excited to finally be able to share the stories of Australia, Norway and Belgium with our contacts around the world.

Margaret and I have been in Blowing Rock, NC for the past two days for a 2010 planning session for SweetGrass. Not only were we able to experience Blowing Rock in the winter – boy it’s cold! – but we also stayed in the property’s new Discovery Cottage . The meeting has been very successful and we’re excited about the 2010 prospects for the SweetGrass community. However, we’re cutting it short because as we speak the weather is getting worse and we’re attempting to leave for Atlanta early.

Look who Margaret and I found…it’s the Coca-Cola Polar Bears! On the way to a meeting with our Coca-Cola clients, we decided to stage an impromptu photo shoot with our fuzzy friends.

Margaret, Lauren and I are back in Nashville this week conducting more on-site research for the YMCA of Middle Tennessee. This trip we’re focusing on the opinions of members and non-members by hosting a series of focus groups and one-on-one interviews in several of the centers around the area. By hosting groups in a variety of day-parts we’re hoping to reach a vast majority of the population and gain some valuable insights into what the YMCA consumers want and need in terms of communication. On a side note, the Country Music Awards are being hosted in Nashville tonight, so we - especially Lauren - are really excited to enjoy the atmosphere. Who knows…we may even get to see a few country music stars. Here’s hoping!

Hear ye! Hear ye! Tombow is holding an illustration contest through the end of the year and the winning entries will be featured on their new Dual Brush Pen set packaging. Plus, there’s no entry fee and the composition is completely up to you. Imagine this: you’re cruising through the aisles of your local art store and all of a sudden BAM! You see your own creation staring back at you from the shelf! A far cry from the days when mom would tape your masterpieces to the fridge.
